TRAVEL

Are you a millionaire? Who pays for you to travel? How do you afford to travel so much??? These are common questions I have heard throughout my post grad years. Actually beyond that. My life.

Growing up, my parents took us on the most extravagant vacations every year. To pay for the trip, my parents would use points from Marriott and American Express credit card programs. My parents each own their own businesses, and woul...

Our first trip of 2020! Dan had a work trip out in Seattle the week before MLK weekend, so we decided to use the last bit of Marriott Bonvoy points I had and booked a weekend trip to Whistler Canada! It was magical, relaxing and adventurous and I cannot wait to go back and visit again next winter season. It's a perfect skiing and snowboard spot. Here are our top 4 things to do, and where we stayed during our trip!

1. Ski o...

ALOHA! One of my favorite blog posts to do...about food! After staying at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort* for three weeks, I was able to try out many items on the menu of The Crooked Surf. The Crooked Surf is the hotel's go-to spot for drinks, lunch & dinner, wide-screen TV's for games, and meeting people from all over the world. The Crooked Surf shares seating with the future Moamoa Hawaiian Fish House on the propert...

Aloha from Kauai!! I decided to go on an extended vacation.... three weeks to be exact. I feel the need to explain this in detail since most 25 year olds can't take that much time off of work.

WHY?

A month and a half ago, I found out my work assignment was changing up, and I had free time before I would need to start my next assignment. I was on my previous assignment for awhile and I needed a break before getting burnt out. My...

If you kept up with me on Instagram, you may have seen that I was island hopping in the British Virgin Islands. Well, I am back now, with tan lines, sun-bleached hair, and lots of memories of living life on a boat for 7 days with family + my boyfriend. During the trip, I received a lot of messages about the experience and wanting to know more details behind the scenes.

OUR BOAT

We picked up a 45.3 ft Monohull sailboat and sailed...

Coming to Scrub Island was the best experience to start off our trip in the BVI! Dan and I came down 3 days before a family sailing trip to relax, use some Marriott Bonvoy points and explore Scrub Island! It took 3 taxi's, 2 planes and 2 boats to get to the island, but I am happy to recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay before picking up their boat to stay here! Even after the hurricane, this island came back better...

Sailing, New York City to the Caribbean...

Ok, so I'm not actually taking a sailboat from New York City to the Caribbean, but my sailing adventure does start in the NYC waters.

In a couple weeks, my family, boyfriend and I will be going down to the Caribbean to sail in the British Virgin Islands! We will be living on a 48 FT sailboat together and sail to different islands, find amazing snorkel spots and experience the most gor...

Santorini is a unique island with architecture and island landscape that makes it not only unique to other Greek islands, but to other islands all over the world. Approaching Santorini, you see white across the top of the island, and as you get closer, you realize it's the different towns in Santorini.

We spent 5 days in Santorini, and loved this romantic island. To plan our time in Santorini, we once again used Georgia from Va...

When people tell you each Greek Island is different, they really mean it. After Crete, next on our itinerary was Mykonos - the party island (and it really was a party).

Getting from Crete to Mykonos

To travel from Crete to Mykonos, we took SeaJets. I suggest arriving early to the port so that you can pick your seat once you get on board near the window. We enjoyed our window seat and being able to see all the islands we passed d...

This summer, my boyfriend and I were able to each save up enough points to go on a two week vacation. We decided to head to Europe and go see the Greek Islands. Our first stop on our tour was Crete!

Crete is the largest Greek Island, and has a lot to offer. One minute you're driving through the mountains, the next you're right next to a white sand beach.

To plan our trip, we used Georgia from Vamos Travels. Vamos Travels cr...
