Our Go-To NYC Date Night Spots 2019

Dan has officially moved back to NYC! No more long distance relationship! It's so nice being able to see him whenever, and not a few weekends a month. It feels like our relationship has changed into something new and exciting, like when we meet each other for the first time. It's a fun time for us!!

One thing that hasn't changed is our go-to date night spots that we love and crave for. If Dan and I find a spot we like, we go back....A LOT. Too much. We really love restaurants that have a cool vibe, aesthetic and top-notch taste.

I wanted to share our favorite spots, price points, ambiance and some of the plates we like to share. I now present our Go-To New York CityDate Night Spots!

Favorite Dish: House Salmon with an Everything Bagel (Dan) and a Plain Bagel (Sara), with a side of eggs. Also, the French Toast is AWESOME.

If you look at my OpenTable account, this will be the restaurant I book the most reservations at. We love their breakfast menu, and go at least 2 times a month on our Sunday's. It's a hard place to get reservations, so I book in advance 2 weeks out at whatever time is available (even 8:30 AM on a Sunday).

This is a fun spot for us to go to! The upbeat ambiance and social scene makes us feel as if we are at the bars. This is a fun spot to try out cocktails, enjoy sharing plates and eating large desserts. Also, the decor and ambiance are incredible.

Favorite Dish: Truffle Pizza

This is one of our favorite local spots in East Village that we fell in love with the past year. Cash only, but amazing food and fun vibe of 20-something year olds. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience and have loved everything on the menu I've tried so far.

Favorite Dish: Catch Sushi Roll, Lobster Mac & Cheese, "The Carnival" Warm Donuts

This restaurant is a spot we get the food, and forget to take the pictures because it's SO GOOD. It's a fun atmosphere and we love the presentation of their menu items. They really know how to make a show out of simple food items. You'll have to visit to understand what I mean :)

Favorite Dish: Beef Short Rib & Garlic Kushi Yaki Skewers, Miso Marinated Black Cod and Spicy Tuna Maki Rolls

This was my first and STILL favorite sushi spot in NYC. We normally order the same items off the menu each time, and enjoy the fun ambiance. It's a fun spot to go to drink during dinner, or just chill with green tea.

Favorite Dish: Soup Dumplings and Fried Rice

Our favorite dinner spot in Chinatown! It's a great restaurant to have a cheap date night and indulge on my favorite items on the menu: soup dumplings and chicken fried rice. We like to come and get a lot of food, then see how much it all costs. Normally, our bill ends up being $40 (which is CHEAP in NYC), so it makes us happy we saved money.

Location: 25 Pell Street, New York NY 10013

Favorite Dish: 3 Mini Cannoli's and Hot Chocolate

After going to Joe's Ginger, we love to walk over to Little Italy and sit down for Cannoli's and hot chocolate at Ferrara's Bakery for dessert. We like to sit and chat while snacking on the Cannoli's

Location: 195 Grand Street, New York NY 10013
